Program Manager, Waterbury Reentry Welcome Center

Gordon was named Program Manager in 2021. He is responsible for overseeing the 2021 opening and implementation of our second Reentry Welcome Center. In his role, Gordon meets our participants “where they are” so that person-centered, individualized services are always provided. He also builds and maintains relationships with the Department of Correction and community partners. Previously, Gordon was a Peer-to-Peer Case Manager for CPA’s Hartford Reentry Welcome Center. He has been with Community Partners in Action since 2020.
Since 2011, Gordon has been working to help men and women suffering from the disease of addiction and those with involvement in the criminal justice system. He has held positions within several organizations throughout Connecticut, including the Apt Foundation in New Haven as a clinician in the Parole/Department of Correction Unit.
In 2000, Gordon reentered society from prison with nothing more than a GED, hope, and a plan. He finds it an honor to be the Program Manager of the Waterbury Reentry Welcome Center. Gordon is truly passionate about his work because he believes there is no higher calling than to be of service to one’s fellowman.
Gordon is a Certified Addiction Counselor in  CT and a Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor nationally.  He is continuing his education at the University of Phoenix, majoring in Psychology.
