Local teens, ages 14-18 participating in the Greater Hartford Arts Council “Neighborhood Studios: Write to the Point” summer program visited The Mark Twain House & Museum. The teens chose artworks from our 2020/2021 Prison Arts Program Annual Show at Mark Twain House to inspire their poetry writings, with powerful results! Check out poetry and the artwork that inspired the young writers.
The Prison Arts Program Annual Show runs through December 31st.
The artwork “Loneliness” by Lawrence Siminoff inspired the poem “There’s a Fine Line Between Defending and Destroying” by local teen Alli Benthien.
