As we mark 150 years of service, advocacy, and second chances, Community Partners in Action invites you—our valued staff, donors, and friends—to celebrate this historic milestone at our Inspiring Hope Gala on Wednesday, September 18, at the elegant Society Room of Hartford.
This special evening will honor the incredible work of CPA’s dedicated employees and the unwavering support of our community partners and donors. Together, we’ve helped thousands of people rebuild their lives and reimagine their futures.
The evening will feature the world premiere of our 150th Anniversary Film, the Champion of Justice Award recognizing William H. Carbone, MPA – Executive Director of Justice Programs and the Tow Youth Justice Institute and dancing to the sounds of Latanya Farrell & Band, award-winning soul singer. Guests will enjoy a red-carpet welcome, dinner, and a heartfelt program that reflects CPA’s enduring legacy and the impact we’ve made—together.
Since our founding in 1875, CPA has been at the forefront of criminal justice reform. From launching Connecticut’s first reentry services to leading the way in alternatives to incarceration, our collective efforts have helped transform lives and communities across the state.
As staff, your work is the heartbeat of our mission. As donors and partners, your support makes it all possible. This Gala is our chance to come together—to reflect, recognize, and re-energize.
All proceeds from the Gala will benefit CPA’s life-changing programs, including our Reentry Welcome Centers in Hartford and Waterbury, youth residential services, and the nationally renowned Prison Arts Program.
Let’s celebrate 150 years of impact—and recommit to the work ahead. And use the hashtags #CPA150 and #InspiringHope when sharing and mentioning CPA on social media.
